Study On CSSD's Diversification Strategy Based On Core Competence

CSSD is the main developer of Suzhou Industrial Park. The changing conditions inside and outside the company have placed much higher requirements on the implementation of CSSD's diversification strategy. With foreign and domestic study on core competence, diversification strategy and other relevant theories, the author has made in-depth study and analysis, from the perspective of core competence, on the internal and external conditions of the implementation of the diversification strategy, the relationship among all businesses of CSSD, and the role of the brand of"China-Singapore", and proposed some solutions to the problems related to the transformation of the company.The first part of the paper is about the research background, significance, theoretical foundation, research methods and main content of the study, in order to clarify the whole context. The second part elaborates on the achievements at home and abroad of the historical study and the current research status of core competence, diversification strategy, and the relationship between them, in order to lay the foundation for the topic selection. The third part is the theory benchmark of the paper, with the setup of the framework of diversification strategy based on core competence. The fourth part is a case study of a similar domestic company which carries out the diversification strategy successfully. The fifth part analyzes the problems of CSSD's diversification strategy, integrated with the third part's theoretical framework and the fourth part's case study. Meanwhile it also gives solutions and optimization suggestions to the problems, and points out the supporting factors of the successful implementation of diversification strategy.The paper has made in-depth study on CSSD's diversification strategy from the perspective of core competence, which plays not only a guiding role in the implementation and optimization of CSSD's diversification strategy, but also a promoting role in the transformation and updating of Suzhou Industrial Park. What's more, it gives enlightenment, to some extent, to the developers of other development zones in China in their strategy study.
