The Interactive Study On Tourism Festival & Special Events And Development Of Urban Tourism

From the world tourism development of macro background, Tourism Festival and Special events(TFSE), have become international city an important part of the tourism destination resources. This is because under the market economy conditions, triggered by the FSE initiation's intensive consumption and promote many industrial developments and the comprehensive social and cultural changes, especially the impact of FSE tourism concern. In 2004, according to statistical data published by the U.S. Tourism Association demonstrated that the festival activities are event which visitors experience new discoveries and are interested in cultural activities; 21 percent of American adults (about 31 million person-trips) in the tourism participated in the festive events. The regional art festivals and the music festival become the most popular festivals of travel [1].Each kind of FSE on the host society, economy and culture combined effects, is also getting bigger and bigger.Since the 1980s, the Western developed country already strengthened the scientific management and the market operation of events, and make it evolved into an important power to promote their urban tourism development. As with a variety of events, festivals and celebrations held in the core appeal of a special form of tourism, Festival and Special events Tourism (FSE tourism) has increasingly become an important way to developing tourism, boost the tourism economy in the world cities. While introducing the international significant conference or sporting events positively, many international metropolises has formed their own characteristics and market reputation of the event, by the way of refining and the processing tradition nationality holiday, or establishing new civic culture entertainment events. As is well known in the world famous of Notting Hill Carnival in London, German Oktoberfest, Spanish Pan Puluo City Running of the Bulls, and as the Olympic Games, football World Cup, already became the host city for the world-renowned unique tourism resources, and further evolves to obtain travel market cognition of tourism business cards and attract tourist's product brand. Such as the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, not only becomes the effective way in shaping the city image and promoting urban tourism development, increasing tourism output, but also make the benefit of Australia's tourism image (Australia Brand) in advance 10 years [2].Based on a great of materials, this thesis tries to analyze and prove the mutual relationship between FSE and urban tourism from a systematic and integral view.The first part is introduction, which consists of the research background, research purpose and significance, research path and research method and the content place of main characteristic. The second part is research status quo in home and foreign countries.In the third part, the author first to introduce some normal knowledge about FSE tourism, such as the concept, the content, the property as well as limited one of the objects of this article- event tourism, all this lay a theoretical foundation. for the subsequent analysis.The fourth part studies the impact factors urban tourism on the FSE, including the image of urban tourism, tourism resources, urban tourism infrastructure and so on, detailed analysis of related factors.The fifth part discusses how the FSE impact on the urban tourism development, including positive and negative effects. In the sixth chapter, through actual case studies, reflect the FSE on the importance of urban tourism development.Finally, on the basis of the above study, the part 7 proposed on FSE tourism and development of urban tourism. FSE should be held from the overall situation, to promote the comprehensive development of urban tourism; from the perspective of the system, events should form the benign interaction with urban tourism, and promote the development of the city.
