A Study On Development Of Tourism Small Town In The Process Of Urban And Rural Integration In Guangxi

In the process of urban-rural integration, it has an important reality meaning for breaking "dual structure" and solving tri-agriculture to develop tourism small towns in the areas rich in cultural travelling resources. At present, the development of Guangxi’s tourism small towns is not at a high level, to some extent, since lacking of a clear path of development, doing a systematic research on the tourism development of small town, both can promote the economic development of Guangxi, and provide a reference for promoting tourism development of small towns in the ethnic minority areas.Rural construction theory, growth pole theory, counter urbanization theory, comparative advantage theory and the theory of experience economy are the theoretical foundation of the development of tourism small towns. Resources, policy, economy, population and culture are the main factors affecting tourism small towns’ development.The tourism small towns can be divided into resource-oriented, location-driven and industry-driven. In the process of urban-rural integration, the development path of tourism small towns should accord to its characteristics.The development of Guangxi’s tourism small towns has two obvious advantages at resource and location. But at the current development, there exist some main problems, such as the unreasonable industrial structure, insufficient government support, lacking of scientific and reasonable layout, lacking of environmental protection.To promote the development of Guangxi’s tourism small towns, should consider the effect of resources, policy, economy, population and culture, and based on this, take reasonable measures to develop the three categories of tourism small town. Specifically, the countermeasures to promote the development of resource-oriented tourism small town include that strengthen the protection of ecological environment, strengthen the protection of cultural resources; the countermeasures to promote the development of location-driven tourism small town include that give full play to regional advantages, increase the investment in infrastructure construction; the countermeasures to promote the development of industry-driven tourism small town include that promote transferring the labor, promote the development of competitive industries and so on.
