The Research On Efficiency Of The Commercial Bank Merger In China

Along with the financial market getting more and more open, the banking will also face the unprecedented challenge. They will compete with not only the domestic banks but also the big foreign banks. Under this competitive environment, how to improve the efficiency,increase the competitiveness is essential for the bank's survival and development. Under the influence of the international banking M&A activities, the activities are more and more in China. On the other hand, in order to prevent and resolve regional, systemic financial risks, the People's Bank began to explore merger and reorganization of financial institutions, and give the support and tilt to the acquisition side consciously. Therefore, the research on the efficiency of bank mergers and acquisitions meets the increasingly well-developed banking M & A market.The article firstly analyzes the theory and methods of bank efficiency of mergers and acquisitions, and then analyzes the status and characteristics of the mergers and acquisitions of China's commercial banks. On this basis selects three banks for empirical analysis using financial indicators and data envelopment analysis method respectively. The calculating results find the changes and current problems of the banking mergers. Last, on the basis of current problems of the banking mergers of our country, proposes the suggestion to improve the efficiency of banking mergers, such as the macro environment and the principal's own way.This dissertation takes empirical analysis by taking the qualitative method and quantitative method, show that the bank efficiency of mergers will usually appear in several years after short worse, makes scientific evaluation to the banking mergers, and finds some shortage of the banking mergers, it has important significance for the banking mergers in our country.
