The agritourism abroad began in France in middle 19th century. Since 1980s, agritourism have owned its considerable scale and have slipped into its normal development track. With the features of city agricultural travelling and "farmerhouses", the domestic agritourism started relatively late. Owning its Miao and Dong minority culture, the Qiandongnan Prefecture in Guizhou province has the unique superiority. However, at the process of the development of agritourism, how does government play its role and what role should government play are the two issues differ from country to country. Therefore, hereto this paper mainly discusses and analyzes the current state of government role; the main problems and causes of ethnic minority culture tourism in Qiandongnan Prefecture as well as gives strategic suggestions to exert the government's part to the full.
