Since polices of reform and opening to the outside world was performed, accomplished degree of social equity and justice has been elevated obviously. However, we should see that our society is in the transformation period from traditional planned economic system to socialist market economy system. Many social unfair problems have been revealed. Conflicts in income distribution are especially highlighted. To look upon and resolve the polarization problems existed in income distribution correctly and deeply, theory approaches must be taken thoroughly.Marx's and Rawls'distribution justice theories have both differences and similarities. They each give their own explanations from different aspects. Marx insists his fundamental ground of historical materialism to expose and criticize injustice phenomenon in capitalist society sharply, to analyze all kinds of distribution justice theories of it, and then he proposes his own "future society" distribution justice principle:distribution according to work and distribution according to need. While, Rawls, through building his idealistic fair justice theory, would make a revise on capitalist system, so it could moderate increasingly social conflicts and maintain capitalist dominion. Marx's and Rawls'distribution justice theories are the idea sources that we can borrow. It is of great significance to resolve current a great many problems existed in our income distribution through making analyses and comparisons of the distribution ideas, grasping its material differences, and integrating the theories with our income distribution practice. We should insist applying Marx's distribution justice theories to direct our income distribution reform. At the mean time, we should refer Rawls' theories to adjust our present income distribution pattern, focus disadvantaged groups further, and promote the harmonious socialist society construction.
