Nowadays, hot-spring resort hotel has been gradually turning into a favorite recreation spot. With economic development, people's standard of living rises accordingly, which leads to the growth of demand for resort hotel. As the pioneer of opening up to the outside world, Guangdong is favored as an important region where investors of resort hotel would like to take a share. This paper aims at proposing a case study, targeting the Guangdong Longshan Hot-Spring Resort Hotel, a high-end hot-spring resort hotel project mapped out by the Guangdong Fogang Changchuan Property Co., Ltd., which is planed to be built at Fogang County, Qingyuan City.The paper in the first place analyzes the geographic location of the region, county and city where the project will be located. In Chapter 2, it continues to give an introduction on the high-end resort market, focusing on researching the situation of 6 similar-type hotels on the rim of the project and 5 domestic and overseas high-end resort hotels. By the comparison between these hotels and the project in several aspects, such as features, star rating, capacity of dining hall and conference room, as well as ratio of each room type, parking lot, complementary facilities, the project is positioned as to build up a leisure hot-spring resort hotel with features of Lingnan Region. Instead of becoming one of those subordinate complementary facilities, it aims at building up the hotel as a tour destination which possesses villas with standard swimming pools, complemented with natural hot-spring pools, spa and aroma therapy.According to the positioning, the paper will deliberate in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 on the operational concept and strategy, as well as promotion and marketing strategy. In Chapter 4 it also gives suggestions on the layout, constructional theme and decoration style of the hotel. Finally in Chapter 5, in the format of forms, it analyzes the payback situation which concerns the investors most. Based on the discussion and research on the hotel business itself, the paper is a strategic reference before the construction of the Longshan Hot-Spring Resort Hotel. It offers referential value to the architects, interior designers and gardening designers, as well as the construction units and hotel operators of the project.
