Tourism Carrying Capacity Assessment Technology And Application In Nature Reserve

Lacks of money and management support, China Natural Reserves meet a lot of difficulties in the application of Tourism Carrying Capacity assessment techniques. This paper attempts to adjust and improve existing methods to reduce the funds and technical pressure in the application of the Tourism Carrying Capacity assessment methods by Natural Reserve.The paper systematically discussed the origins of tourism Carrying Capacity and analyzed it's assessment methods.Based on the methdos of LAC and VERP, the paper presents a new assessment method-the Public Uses Management (PUM) framework, and disscussed its application by case study. PUM is less expensive,lower management require and faster to implement than VERP, which is more in line with the actual management status of nature reserves.
