Study Of Social Carrying Capacity In Badaling Great Wall Based On Visitor Experience

With the improvement of people's living standards and the experience of tourists,the demand for tourists' recreation is not limited to sightseeing,but to the experience.A large number of tourists travel to various places in the country every years,parks in the tourist season are always overcrowded.The large number visitors not only make pressure on the environment of the park,but also the interference and crowding between visitors will affect the experience.In order to help reduce the pressure on the park and enhance the visitor experience,based on the VERP management model of the National Park Service of the United States,this study selects Badaling Great Wall in Beijing as the research area.Through questionnaire,interviews,field survey,investigate the environment and facilities in the park,visitors' motivation,preference,crowd perception and satisfaction,using a variety of data analysis methods to analyze the results.Many visitors are accompanied by family or friends,and the average stay time is 3 hours.The satisfaction is at an intermediate level.Visitors believe that the current serious problems in the park are the problems of garbage and unclear road indications;the scratch of the ancient ruins and the destruction of roads are also in the attention of the visitors.During the investigation,the areas in the park generally exceeded the carrying capacity.The social carrying capacity of the park is predicted.The daily reception capacity of the historical and cultural area should be controlled within 48,000 people,and the reception capacity of the forest experience area should be controlled within 3,800.Three social condition monitoring indicators were selected,which are the percentage of visitors who are crowded at main attractions,the number of disturbances by other tourists,and the number of tourists who appear at the main attractions,while the standards were also determined.
