Constructing Recreation Opportuning Spectrum Of Urban Green Space In Shenyang

Urban habitancy is increasing along with the speeding up of urbanization tempo, living standard is being upgraded day after day as the financial development, outdoor activities are more and more variable during more vacation opportunities. These three facts have mutual promotion from which outdoor recreation is brought fresh perception to citizens and made as a necessary part of daily life. However, there are less recreation sites as in need. Taking hobbies and satisfactory of the recreationists into consideration, even lesser options on recreation sites are left.The target of this paper is to offer diverse recreation opportunities and raise satisfaction of recreation which are based on Recreation Opportunity Spectrum Theory (ROST). In this paper, ROST is going to be established through the following four aspects, the investigation on recreation environment and behavior in urban green areas, the analysis of recreationists’ behavior features and rules, the analysis of recreationists’preference of recreation environment, the evaluation of recreation suitability of urban green areas. It’s the first time for ROST to be applied in the realm of urban green areas. It built a bridge for recreation environment and behavior. The establishment of ROST, which aims at raising the recreationists’satisfaction, shows guidance in the planning and construction practice for urban green areas. Besides, ROST could also direct recreationists’actions. Through this study, conclusions in four sides are expressed as follows.(1)19 perceived variables of the importance of recreation satisfaction are confirmed in recreational environment variables of urban green space by field investigation and questionnaire survey. Make further investigation and analysis on 19 environment variables to know the practical situation in urban green space; through factor analysis, extract 5 environmental factors totally, such as isolation degree, management degree, ecological degree, facility for use, and air pollution degree respectively.(2) On the basis of survey on recreation behavior of urban green space, analyze recreation behavior of recreationist, and extract 6 factors:sports recreation, leisure and entertainment, family rest, personality rest, and cultural leisure respectively.6 kinds of recreation behaviors are summarized and concluded to 5 types of behavior patterns. Make correlation analysis between recreation satisfaction of recreationist and recreational environment, and put forward natural environment and management environment in main preferential recreational environment of recreation behavior in urban green space.(3)Presence of evaluation index system for recreation suitability in urban green areas assesses the urban green areas recreation suitability in Shen Yang. Aiming at the recreation suitability, the evaluation index system for recreation suitability in urban green areas is set up with one target layer, three guiding principles layers and nineteen index layers. Taking the investigation on recreation environment of urban green areas in Shen Yang as the foundation of the study, the analysis of recreation suitability of urban green areas in Shen Yang indicates that 13.8% is optimum,31.4% is good. All in all, the whole suitability is in a common level.(4)Based on the couple-mode theory, this study optimizes the urban green areas recreation opportunities. Covering ratio and overlap ratio are chosen as couple-mode factors to set up couple-mode pattern which is used to couple mode the urban space and urban green areas in order to offer multiple recreation opportunities.(5) On the basis of analysis on recreational environment factor, combined with preference of recreationist for recreational environment, recreational environment of urban green space is divided into four environmental types:urban development type, urban type, urban semi-natural type and urban natural type respectively. Combined with optimization result of recreation opportunity of urban green space, on the basis of expected recreation experience of recreationist in 5 types of recreational environments by survey, synthesized with importance analysis of recreational environment factor, recreation opportunity spectrum of urban green space based on recreational environment type, recreation activity and recreation experience based on urban green space is confirmed.
