Since 1980s, Neo-liberal ism has replaced Keynesianism during the process of dealing with stagflation after Ronald Reagan taking Office, gradually ruling U. S economic policies. Nearly 40 years later, by means of some international organizations, Neo-liberalism meeting the need of international monopoly capital, especially financial capital, quickly spread from main developed countries to developing countries including some system-changing countries in the name of globalization, which resulted in heavy economic crisis even political turmoil. Today America's economic crisis resulting from subprime mortgage crisis developed into world's economic crisis. Both political and academic circles think this crisis is the result of Neo-liberalism spreading.The thesis researches the relationship between Neo-liberalism and America's economic crisis in four fields, by analyzing bad effects which finally gave rise to the crisis from a series of policies and outlooks of Neo-liberalism. The conclusion can be summarized that Neo-liberalism, as an economic system or an economic development model, is only a direct factor. Basis on Marxism's views on economic crisis, the thesis researches America's basic society contradiction and credit system.The final conclusion is that capitalism system is the fundamental factor of the crisis.The thesis aims at objectively evaluating Neo-liberalism and forecasting its prospect.The writer analyzes its contributions and disadvantages through dialectical thinking, and forecasts the prospect of Neo-liberalism.
