After a long period of doldrums, the British Agriculture revived since the second world war. The rapid decline of Agriculture halted in the later 1890s, from which to the second world war, the British Agriculture went through considerable changes, which invoved periods of rapid progression interspersed with others of relative stagnation. It was a series of ups and downs with painful adjustments but the general trend was upwards. The government took some farsighted measures which changed the Agriculture policy frome laissez faire to intervention during this time , which, therefore set the foundations for post-war policy. The two world war, which play a key role in the change of agricultural policy, created the need for Agriculture's expansion. War time experice teach them a lesson and all the political paty finally reached to consensus: the state support and intervention is essential; maintaining stable agricultural policy in long-term is necessary. The development of agriculture before the end of the second world war lay the foundations of the solid prosperity after that. The extensive application of the agricultural scientific innovation also contributes to the revival. The powers of political interaction between the agricultural interest groups and the government also facilitated the full rehabilitation of the agriculture.
