In order to adapt to wartime situation, Zhejiang provincial government established the Administrative Office of western Zhejiang in Chan Yuan Temple, West TianMu Mountain in early 1939 after Japanese invasion. The establishment of Administrative Office of western Zhejiang and implementation of a series of related policies during the war exerted a profound impact on the rural economy in TianMu Mountain area. On the basis of primary research on the former Lin'an, Yuqian,Changhua county, this paper conducts a historical survey of the rural economy in the TianMu Mountain area, and analyzes the economy survey initiated by the Administrative Office of western Zhejiang. On deep analysis of the policies and measures and their effectiveness, the paper reveals the situation of the rural economy during the war in-depth and explains relations between the military struggle and the development of the rural economy during wartime in TianMu Mountain area.
