Corporate Social Responsibility Oriented Supply Chain Management Research

Supply chain corporate social responsibility proposed just 15 years, but attracted an increasing concern of the media and public. But in fact, whether in academia or practice, corporate social responsibility theory and practice in the supply chain are scarce. In the background of Chinese Government strongly advocated "Harmonious Society", discussing the lifeblood of business-supply chain and the corporate social responsibility in it has an important historical and practical significance which giving favorable theoretical support to stakeholders interests protection, environmental protection and resource conservation.In this paper, we reviewed the theory and research achievements of domestic and foreign scholars, and representation the overall research achievements on corporate social responsibility and corporate social responsibility in the supply chain that lays a theoretical foundation to this paper's systematic study. Hoping to card the relevant theory, then description and analysis of related issues, and helping to understand the role in the process of enterprise development, and thus propose appropriate management methods and the corresponding countermeasures.This research contents as follows:Described the initiation, development and theoretical of corporate social responsibility and related theories of corporate social responsibility in the supply chain, clarified the fuzzy understanding of corporate social responsibility in the supply chain in a certain degree.Development the supply chain Internal responsibility model and External responsibility model based on the study of the domestic/foreign scholars. The supply chain internal responsibilities include:child labors using, labor wages and compensations, health and safety, working hours, employee rights, penalties and employee discrimination; supply chain external responsibilities include:legal and tax, resources and environment, consumer rights, community responsibility, animal welfare and biotechnology.Comprehensive summary existed corporate social responsibility issues that in the supply chain:child labors are widely existed, staff exploitation and punishment, good faith lacking, evade taxes, fraud and tax evasion, enterprise citizen consciousness weaking, consumer weakening, work instability, resource and environmental problems, competition and trade unfair.Provide a number of policy proposals to management corporate social responsibility for different supply chains in different stages of size, different industry and different suppliers, and as well as internal staff, senior managers and related systems management suggestion.This article also provides two cases that practiced corporate social responsibility in the supply chain and made certain achievements, that provided a realistic basis and reference templates to others who preparations to implement corporate social responsibility in the supply chain.In the end, I conclusion the deficiencies of this article, as well as expectations, hoping following researchers can complement and improve.
