Development is the eternal theme of humanity, and it is consciousness of people today. With the development of economy around the world, people already understand clearly that the sustainable development of human society suffers a serious challenge. The sustainable development idea is pervasive and deep into the fields. The sustainable development of enterprise is an important branch. Reform and opening up in China for nearly thirty years. The small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have made considerable progress, and become an important force of national economy and important component of social economy and industrial structure. SMEs are the new economic growth point, are the most active productive forces, are the basic of social stability. SMEs pull regional economy, increase the financial income, promote urban and rural development, solve employment, etc, even large enterprise cannot replace its function in some aspects. But at the same time we also noticed that, with the domestic and international situation changes, SMEs meet their bottlenecks. Therefore, the research of SMEs' sustainable development has practical necessity.Based on the SMEs of Linfen and analysis of the SMEs'characters in Linfen, this article summarizes restriction factors of sustainable development, presents some suggestions to accelerate SMEs' development and forecast the future of SMEs. The research finds out the problems, analyzes the problems, solves the problems in final to help SMEs understand and handle their problems. More importantly, the aim of this article is to provide some valuable reference for government department making policies for SMEs'development in Linfen.
