Based on analyzing and summarizing the present situation of the enterprise market-oriented management theory and practice, this thesis systematicly studies the market-oriented management model according to the value chain theory, the cost management theory and management by objective theory. The aim is to construct the internal operating system and mechanism of market-oriented management, to explore the law of the internal market-oriented management, to provide some theoretical and pratical guidance for improving and optimizing the internal market-oriented management. This research mainly includes the following aspects: Chapter 1 firstly presents the study background, purposes and the significane. After reviewing the literatures, an internal market-oriendted model based on value chain management theory is presented in face of a simple value chian cost management theory. Chapter 2 analyses the present status of SM Coal Corporation. The research methods and technique routes are presented. Chapter 3 describes the composing elements, the principles, the functions and the feacures of internal market-oriented management framework based on value chain management in SM Coal Corporation. In chapter 4, an internal market-oriented management platform is built in SM Coal Corporation, which mainly includes the establishment of organizations and related functions, the establishment of a system, basic data measurement and a fixed system, management sytem and assessment system. Chapter 5 constucts an internal market-oriented clearing price system and develops a management information sytem. Chapter 6 is the effects and lessons learned from internal market-oriented management in SM Coal Corporation. Overall, this thesis attempts to sum up the practical experience in the market-oriented management nowadays. The implementation programme will provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for the internal market-oriented management in the coal enterprises.
