| The logistics has been a certain kind of social economy operation pattern for up to one thousand years,but it has failed to arouse people's enough attention due to various reasons for a long time. Since the 1990s, with the introduction of advanced modern logistics concepts from overseas and the deepening its theoretical study, the significant position and role of modern logistics in society and economy has been gradually recognized by the majority of policy-makers and theoretical workers.Liupanshui is a resource-based city characterized with a small economic volume, simple industrial structure and urban-rural dual structure, faces with double pressures of transformation development and acceleration development. Therefore, introducing modern logistics concepts and applying advanced technologies to develop modern logistics industry have been effective measures to optimize industrial structure and improve regional economic competitiveness. Actively promoting modern logistics industry is helpful to improve the development environment, to satisfy diversified service needs ,to activate a new economic growth point , to improve the quality of economic growth, to upgrade the comprehensive competitiveness and comparative advantage,and boosts to achieve a great-leap-forward development in economy and society.Compared with domestic developed areas, modern logistics industry in liupanshui city is still at the initial stage. With modern logistics theory and SWOT analytic method, this paper attempts to give an overall expounding on the latest theory and practice achievements from abroad and home, to analyze systematically the current development situation in liupanshui, and strives to propose the development positioning, principles, objectives, the spatial layout of modern logistics in liupanshui, and to put forward relevant policy suggestions at last. |
