The Effect Of China's Soybean Import Tariff Adjustment On Soybean And Related Industries

With the improvement of people's living standard, Chinese as a vegetable protein and animal protein, and an important source of one of the main edible vegetable oils, also with the people's health and diet structure is closely related to the level of soybean needs increasing aggravation of demand, but does not bring the development of GMS in China. In order to solve the contradiction between supply and demand of market of domestic soybeans,in 1996, China let the market of soybean, this cause ten years of soybean import of sustained, in 2004, China has become the world's largest importer, and bring the four aspects of the so-called China's "domestic soybean dilemma".Based on China's soybean industry international trade policy adjustment of cutting the import tariff , The paper adopts GTAP (global trade analysis project)to quantitative analysis of the influence of China trade policy adjustment on soyabean imports, output, domestic prices, domestic sales and soybean industry body, and GDP. Research results show that the import tariff reductions in China's soybean industry generates comprehensive persistent negative impact, from one side, this explains China's "domestic soybean dilemma ".The article is divided into six parts, the first part, from the overall analysis of China's soybean industry faces difficulties, Based on these questions, The second part, China's soybean industry development course and the present situation are summarized, The third part of the thesis uses the method of theoretical framework GTAP model are introduced. Briefly introduces the model establishment, model GTAP closed structure, principle, etc. The fourth part is the main body part, and supporting the use of GTAP model software,the effect of adjusting soybean international trade policy on domestic soybean industry were simulated, then , analyzed the influences basis on the general equilibrium method, The fifth part, based on the empirical analysis in the fourth part, propose policy and measures of the development of China's soybean industry,Provide reference for government's decision-making..
