Research On Material Requirements Planning Based On Generic Bill Of Material Under Mass Customization

The purpose of Mass-Customization production is to custom-tailor the product and the service with random quantity for the single customer or the small batch and multi-varieties market at the price and the speed of Mass production. As the most widely used BOM structure of product family, Generic Bill of Material is consist of the structure tree and selection tree. It expresses all the relevant information about the description and the configuration of product family. Aiming at the product family and based on GBOM, the GMRP in this paper outputs the procurement and production plans through the logical operation of forecasting requirements, customer orders, stock and other variables. At present, domestic and foreign research on Mass Customization production is mostly focused on improving the production technology for mass customization. Therefore, this paper would like to make a certain degree of exploration significance on the researches on production plans and practice of Mass Customization.Firstly, based on the impacts the Mass Customization has created on traditional production planning, this study found that the product family model of GBOM presents some inadaptability in the mode of ATO production. In view of this situation, the first research focuses on reconstructing a new product family model of GBOM which could do help to forecast and restrict neatly the production plans based on the original mode through introducing the planning percentage into the select relation of selection tree. This new model could help to achieve the goal of pre-production and assembly after order and test the effectiveness of GBOM by examples, which is the basis for further research.Secondly, based on the improved GBOM model and compared with the traditional MRP, this study redefined the concept of GMRP in Mass Customization. Through analyzing the production process of GMRP, this study pushed out the two-stage operation of GMRP, which are the stage of BOM center algorithm faced to class BOM structure code and the stage of selecting subset preorder traversal of selection tree. In the second stage, this study did logical operation on the forecasting select subsets and the number of customer orders by using many modes which could determine relations.Lastly, in the fifth chapter, this study wrote the procedures in Delphi language according to the concrete experiments and structured a material requirements planning system. Entering the correct number and logical information, the correct and needed information results would be obtained by using the procedures and the system. The simulation results indicated that the GMRP implementation methods based on GBOM proposed in this study is able to generate the correct information which could meet the needs of enterprise production planning.
