In the initial period of patent technology assessment, techniques market of our country was still in the initial stage, lacking the patent technology market prices of the Market Approach and the market parameters of the Income Approach in the patent technology assessment methods; therefore the cost approach was often utilized to appraise the patent technology. But along with the socialist market economy establishing, people regard the future income which the patent technology brings more important. How to appraise the patent, which patent assessment method should be used to carry on the appraisal, how to ascertain the correlative parameter scientifically, in order to make the result of the appraisal more applied and authoritative, all the problems in the patent technology assessment should be solved urgently. For people lack the investigation and study in the patent technology assessment process and the choice of parameter is unreasonable, the price of the patent technology assessment is quite different from the actual price. Therefore it affects importance of the patent technology assessment industry and weakens its function.This dissertation takes several important parameters in the patent technology assessment methods as the research object, and has carried on the analysis and the appraisal research to methods of these parameters and the correlative questions. The method of WACC which is often used in the business valuation could be applied to discount rate of patent assessment. An important precondition is the share of patent in the intangible assets combination must be more than 80%. With analyzing the influence factors it combines statistical data of technology separation from the United Nations trade and development organization and puts forward the multi-attributes synthesis appraisal approach which could calculate separation rate scientifically and rationally. Through an example it uses simulation to estimate patent technology value volatility and applies Excel to simulate the data. The example illuminates its accuracy. Basing on the correlation analysis it discusses how to estimate the patent technology value volatility, which can be replaced by volatility of production volatility in downriver market if the patent and the downriver production are correlative in the extreme. The example proves this substitute.
