Research On Application Of Integrated Process Control System In Hot Mill Of Baosteel

Integrated Process Control (IPC)is LTV Steel's unique total quality management system. It conceived in the early 1980s, refined in the real world of steelmaking and is already become an effective ways to improve the product quality and promote the marcket competence in morden enterprise. IPC is different,the words "process control" in the name recognize that it is the process rather than the product that must be the focus of our attention.However, IPC also recognizes that a manufacturing process has many steps between raw material and final product.To gain total control of the process requires a system applied uniformly across the entire operation.The system cannot just focus on problem or defects.It must focus on the small positive process steps each operation contributes to the final product and "integrate"them across department lines.Nearly, the customers'requments are higher than before.Traditional quality management module has exposured many shortcomings, such as low efficiency and low quality, and so on.That's the reason why we should focus on the process in details,to improve the process capability.The thesis try to use the advanced management module to solve the problem in the HSRM in Baosteel, by focusing on the process, give a series of solutions to improve the product quality, to satisfy coustomer needs.The main research results and conclusions are as follows:The thesis begins with IPC basic theory, firstly introduce the concept of IPC, and the developing progress.The Six-Step model are introduced from the structure and every step.And the six charactors of IPC different from other quality management model are pointed out. The application development of IPC system in Baosteel according to its characteristic is also introduced. As a result, the thesis analyzes the present condition of HSRM quality management system,and then puts forward the IPC system of HSRM in Baosteel Co.
