To keep the stability of DTY quality is the most important work in the polyester texturing process. Now most factories use technologies of knitting and dyeing to ensure DTY quality. But this method has many limitations. The downstream clients often reflect there are a lot of quality problems. So it is necessary to introduce an updated quality management method to ensure DTY products keeping uniform and consistent characters.The research of this thesis stems from customer's feedback, and the relationship between the DTY quality problem that reflect from the customers and the physical properties of DTY is studied.Then the conclusion is drawn, that is, by controlling the elongation and crimp shrinkage can effectively detect and prevent the fluctuations that influence DTY quality. Then the thesis introduces the advanced statistical techniques, successfully use control chart to control the elongation and crimp shrinkage. of DTY.In the aspects of new product development and quality improvement, the thesis adopts orthogonal experimental design to analyze the factors that influence DTY quality, and adopts direct analysis and variance analysis to find the key factors, improves the profitability of the DTY products and customers'satisfaction.The thesis widens the application of advanced statistical techniques through the research and implementation of statistical techniques. It has produced good results in quality improvement and product structure upgrade in our enterprise. It brings new ideas about quality control to other chemical fiber enterprise.
