Study On The Competitiveness Of The Tertiary Industry In Anhui Province

Every time the global economic crisis, are accompanied by a profound adjustment of industrial structure. The world's financial crisis began in 2008, once again to make the world more aware of the importance of industrial structure optimization. The tertiary industry's influence in the economy is growing, and only a strong tertiary sector can withstand various forms of economic crisis. For China ,especially for the tertiary industry of Anhui Province, crisis is both opportunities and challenges.This paper is to study the status quo and influenc factors of the tertiary industry in Anhui, and accordingly propose effective policy recommendations.This is of great significance for enhancing the competitiveness of the tertiary industry in Anhui Province . To study the tertiary industry in Anhui Province, this paper mainly contains the following aspects: (1) Using the related data from 1997 to 2007 in Anhui Province ,this paper does the status quo analysis of the tertiary industry, studys respectively from three industrial proportion and the total growth. The result shows that:Comparing with the national average, the overall growth rate of the tertiary industry in Anhui Province is basically the same, but the increase in the proportion is irrational and the internal structure is deteriorating.To Anhui Province, the proportion of the accommodation catering and the financial industry decrease significantly. (2) This paper also analyzes the tertiary industry data from 1997 to 2007 in Anhui Province by virtue of the Shift-share analysis.The results shows: The competitiveness of accommodation and catering industry in Anhui Province continued to decline;The structure advantages of the real estate industry have become increasingly evident, while the competitive disadvantage occurs; The competitive advantages of wholesale and retail are obvious, but also reflect the education and public health management does not have both structure and competitive advantages.(3) Using the panel data of 17 cities in Anhui Province from 2000 to 2007, this paper creates the fixed effects model. We can reach the marketization level, the average wage level, the number of professional college teachers are positive to the proportion of tertiary industry in Anhui. While the proportion of government spending and urbanization level are negative to it. This shows that,in the process of economic growth and urbanization, government spending tended more to the secondary industry; The majority of rural labor force flowed to the secondary industry. Thus, the development of the competitiveness of the tertiary industry in Anhui Province was relatively weak,but also in connection with the stage of economic development in Anhui Province .This paper considers that we should develop the tertiary industry with Anhui promoting industrialization, and increase the competitiveness of the tertiary industry.Therefore, Anhui should strongly support the development and optimize the internal structure of it, emphasize the service industry HR, pay attention to the role of marketization and urbanization and so on.
