A Study On The Correlation Of Chief Financial Officer System And Operating Performance In Listed Companies

A set of quite mature theories of Chief Financial Officer(CFO) system has formed in Western countries, moreover, as the backbone to enterprises, CFO also take great contribution to their employers. All of these provide certain theory and reality basis to the analytical study. But the CFO system just starts in our country, furthermore, most CFO are evaluated from traditional fund manager or chief accountant, part of them have not entered the core management yet. With further opening of our country's market, the competition which our companies face is more intense. Under the pressure of competition, whether chief accountant and CFO who come from traditional fund manager or chief accountant can undertake the "operating performance pusher", may directly impact on the prospect of our companies and the future of our country's CFO system.In the content of company's comprehensive evaluation, operating performance is a key target to embody the comprehensive strength of listed companies, and it also can be improved by the effort of listed companies themselves. Based on these, theories of CFO system and operating performance are set forth firstly. Then, correlation suppositions between them are put forward and analyzed through multivariable regression model, the result is:the impact between most attributes of CFO system and operating performance in listed companies is not obvious. In next part, some question found in empirical analysis are introduced and some countermeasure and suggestion are also provided under present condition of our country's CFO system which including improving CFO's individual Quality and strengthen CFO system. The last part is summary and expectation, the innovation and insufficient are also proposed. The hope is:meaningful reference can be provided and the way of CFO system which connects international society and manifests CFO's value truly can be found through the study.
