This report aimed at the analysis of the applied research on using Six Sigma in the process improvement of defective productionAs a quality methodology for eliminating defects, Six Sigma has been strengthened and developed continually in practice for more than twenty years. This article will focus on this point to introduce you A Industry's quality improvement approach and the usage of related theory. It will make a detailed exposition on the implement of Six Sigma quality management principle, which foreshadowing the problem-solving process. It will also make a specific description on the product-controlling and problem-solving process which have been commonly used as a "weapon" in the quality improvement approach. And at last, it will state the usage of the DMAIC process f Six Sigma to define measure, analyze and improve the problems and prevent the defects from the production process.The problem-solving process which introduce in this paper is based on the improvement of the defects in the manufacturing. The process will help the enterprise to solve the actual problems and give the guidance to the work in the practice.A Industry is a technological and manufacture company which in the lead of its business line around world. The main production of A Industry relates to telecommunication, computer, aviation, connecter, converter, key-press, cables and internet technology. Moreover, it produces components for other industries, for example, transportation and construction. In 1998, A Industry brought in Six Sigma theory to the internal-company, and developed the teaching materials for Black Belt and Green Belt with University of Michigan. In 2006, the company launched the concept of Lean Six Sigma by integrating Six Sigma and Lean Production. As an important measurement, this kind of innovation promoted the management level and the quality of products. There are six chapters in this article. First Chapter:Introduction of thesis study background, routine and significance. And also explain 6 sigma working status within the company to improve product quality defect. Second Chapter:Six Sigma principle and methodology. Third Chapter:The practical process for eliminating defects in detail by Six Sigma project. Fourth Chapter:The writer's impressions and experiences on the theory of Six Sigma management.
