Study On The Effects Of Hydropower Technology Upon China's Ecological Environment

This thesis starts from the interactive relationship of hydropower technology impact on the ecological environment—basically, the interactive relationship between people's need of economical and clean sources of energy and their need of good ecological environment. The author makes a comprehensive analysis of it from the perspective of hydropower technology, viewing the ecological environment as the entry point, and focusing the positive effects and unfavorable factors of hydropower technology development and construction on the ecological environment. The author clarifies the double-edged sword effects of hydropower technology on the national economic construction and the ecological environment, and also recognizes the inevitability of hydropower technology applications in order to promote the sustainable development of hydropower technology by learning how to regulate, control and guide the rational hydropower technology applications and to evaluate the effects on environment.This thesis discusses the effects of hydropower technology on China's ecological environment. It is divided into six chapters. Chapter One gives a survey of the previous research results, analyzes China's ecological study situation and the defects in existing hydropower technology on the environment, and points out the significance of China's ecological environmental protection by strengthening hydropower technology. From the start with China's present development of hydropower technology, Chapter Two does a contrastive study between hydropower and thermal power technology, and discusses the inevitability of the development of hydropower technology. Chapter Three describes the features, factors and positive and negative effects of the hydropower technology on the ecological environment. Chapter Four focuses on the root of environmental problems in the hydropower technology applications in three aspects. Chapter 5 sets forth, from multi-perspectives, the countermeasures to be taken against the ecological environmental problems in hydropower technology applications. Chapter Six is the conclusion and it also refers to some defects in the thesis.
