Study On The Negative Effects Of Bluebarriers On China’s Foreign Trade And Countermeasures

With the development of international trade, the trade competition becomes more and more fierce. Developing countries takes advantage of resource in labor to have gained more and more market share that used to belong to developed countries. To curb the rapid development of developing countries, developed countries have adopted all kinds of new trade barriers. The Blue trade barriers is one of them. Bluebarriers is a trade barriers pointing at labor standards. It punishes the import and export enterprises not meeting the labor standards to protect its own trade. Because of this, the our country is suffering heavy losses in foreign trade from the Bluebarriers. This paper mainly analyzes the negative effects of blue barrier and put forward countermeasures. This paper has important theoretical and practical significance for our country to recognize and deal with the new trade barrier.The first part introduces the research background and the main organization and contents of the paper. Then author mainly introduces the origin and development of Bluebarriers, and the latest research development in this this field.The second part is to introduce development history, present situation of Bluebarriers. And then the correlative theories have been introduced in detail to prepare for further analysis.The core part of this paper analyzes the negative effects of Bluebarriers. The part is to analyze qualitatively first and then analyze from economics perspective. Both qualitative and quantitative analysis are given into the substantial negative effects of Bluebarriers to explain substantial effect of the negative effect on China’s foreign trade.The last part of this paper is to put forward countermeasures. Firstly, the reception of core standards of Bluebarriers has been introduced. Then the weaknesses of our country in coping with the situation and the useful experience of other countries. In the end, this paper proposes countermeasures from government, industry association and enterprises’perspectives.
