Statistical Diagnosis Of GDP Data Quality

In recent years, the economic data quality problem brought by the rapid economic development has become an important issue that China's modern economy must face. Facing the raised doubts about Chinese economic data by the departments and scholars home and abroad, it is particularly essential to strengthen the research on quality of economic data. The research can not only help citizens understand economic data better, but also establish prestige of national statistic department, and it further has a significant effect on China's position in the international arena. Moreover, with the development of economy, the progress of science and technology, and the wide use of modern statistical theory & method, many statistical scholars continuously explore better statistical method and better model to reflect economic data, explore the basic law of economic development, and solve the disharmonious problems. Meanwhile, China's statistical department is perfecting statistical system, reforming statistical policies, and strengthening supervision and management of data quality, in order to improve the data quality, and accord with the international standard.The paper is based on modern statistical theory & method and modern economical management theory & method, with the methods of statistics, calculating Economics, and mathematical statistics, as well as quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis combined, melted the normative analysis and empirical analysis in an organic whole. In this paper, a comprehensive analysis and study is conducted on Chinese GDP figures, using case-deleted model and projection pursuit method, and comparison is made between the two final results so as to draw the conclusion and propose the countermeasure. The main study concludes:(1)review of the literature & method research on data quality of and methods;(2)overview of modern statistical method; (3)theory research on case-deleted model and projection pursuit method; (4)results comparison of the research on Chinese GDP figures using the CDM and PP; (5)countermeasures used to solve the problem of data quality.Based on the study, it can be seen that there is still a long way to maintain the harmonious development of Chinese economy, and more efforts should be put into statistical systems, statistical methods and statistical theories. Thus the following recommendations are given in order to promote national economic growth and maintain the development of harmony society: Firstly, with international data quality standards, keep Chinese GDP accounting system accordance with the SNA and the GDDS. Secondly, build a sound statistical system, and improve statistical laws, so as to provide legal protection and a favorable environment for statistical data quality. Thirdly, take training and management of statistics personnel seriously to ensure the integrity of statistics, especially pay attention to primary statistics work to ensure the accuracy of statistical data. Finally, strengthen macro and micro levels of management and control to maintain the coordination of economic development, coordinate the governmental comprehensive statistics with sectional statistics and ensure data consistency.
