Digital Image Quality Evaluation Method

For the quick developmeni of the using of digital image, the problemof the digital image quality assessmellt should be researched. The digitalimage quality assessment can be divided into three parts, geometricalquality assessment, image definition assessmeflt, and the assessmeni ofimage conteni. This paPer studies the theories and methods of digitalimage quality assessment. The theory and process of assessing thegeometrical quality of image uPdating using the match method based oncharacteristic and assessing of the image definition quality using themethod based on MTF are introduced in detai1ed. The prob1em of thechecking of digital image contam and the problem of the checkingcolltent using the comPuter are raised. This paPer also introduces thedesign of the digital image quality assessment workstation which is ~designed on the theories and methods above mCniioned and test resu1ts toprove the theories and methods above mentioned. Based on the researchabove mentioned, the paPer discusses the fiJtufe of digital image qualityassessment.
