Three-dimensional Modeling Approach In Gis Research

3D GIS has a tremendous application area, different applications needs different operations and analysis for the space object. Because there is no entity model can figure all aspects of an entity, and only a sole data modal can hardly describe all types of space entities, the integration of 3D space data model is becoming an important research direction of 3D.The paper probe into the modeling method of 3D GIS, and analyses several different data model. By analyzing the geometry character of 3D space objects, and incorporating the actual demand of battleground terrain simulation, bring forward a new integrated method of 3D GIS space data model, namely integration of CSG, TEN and Octree. Either regular or irregular geometrical entity can use this system, and it meets the battleground's needs for flexibility and real-time control.
