Based On Component Gis Urban Public Inquiry System Design And Realization

With the rapid development of science and technology, people rely more and more on Urban Geographic Information System, and hope that it can satisfy all kinds of inquiry and analysis and can also reflect detailed content as more as possible. The aim of Urban Foundational Geographic Information System is to optimize the management of the spatial data, provide the credible and efficient service of the geographic information for the customer, and raise the people's work efficiency, by making use of techniques of the computer, database and the network. As times go on, the Geographic Information System has already affected the every trade, playing an important role in people's live. Taking the present condition of the Urban Foundational Geographic Information System as the background, we carried on the development of the Foundational Geographic Information System of the Kunming City. Based on the MapObjects controls, adopted the VB.NET language to carry on the development of the functions of the client end of the system..In order to make a fast query and shorten the length of codes, in the process of detailed design I put my attention to the Geographic Information classification and coded, and finished then design of database. After detailed design process, I entered upon the realization work of the system. Making use of the functions that these modules provided, I carried out the comprehensive functions of management, manifestation, search and modification etc of the spatial data, and the normal attributes data.The research achievements of this article mainly include:1. In-depth research on the theory and methodology of component development.2. Categorized and coded the geographic infomation of Kunming city. The categorization and coding were carried out to conform to people's everyday life and thinking habit.3. Constructed a geographic infomation database for Kunming city which is used for a public enquiry system. The database deeply layers the geographic data of the city. It has 8 categories and 31 layers. There is also a property database designed for each layer of data. The organization and management of system data are achieved 4. Based on MO component library, using VB.NET as the development tool and utilizing COM technology, categorized enquiry of Kunming geographic information is realized.(1) Achieved convenient enquiry for the following categories of information: Hospital, Education, Retail, Tourism, Accommodation, Library, Opera and Cinema, Post office, Restaurant, Bus station.(2) Achieved bus route enquiry.
