The Design And Realization Of Basic Geographic Data Repository Based On Microstation

With the rapid development of computer hardware, software ,network and communication technology, the applications of geographic information system become more and more common and applied .Data acquiring and sharing are two difficult problems in development of GIS. A great deal of low- end data collection repeated will consume our a lot of human resources and money ,and limit the more application of GIS. Establishing a basic,common spatial database in a district which accord with OGC rules is the way to data sharing and interoperation between different GIS platform . This is the direction of development of GIS. This article focus on a real plan : the construction of Kunming's basic spatial database. This article focus on the method of establishing large scale spatial database. This article gives a model of construction of spatial database based on the MicroStation platform and Oracle database system. This article analyzed the characteristic of the map data and the request of GIS item, designed feature table and spatial layer. This article analyzed the model of graphics of MicroStation and Oracle spatial, puts forward the principle of the map data producing. This article designed the function of the basic spatial database and explored some applications and menu interface with embed development language MDL, integrated some MicroStation functions. The series methods of this article have been applied in a real item, and have work out the real question of map data producing.
