In recent years, with the development of information technology, "3S" technology is constantly applied to the survey, evaluation and daily management of the arable land resources, and with it, the fundamental changes have taken place in the working contents and methods of management of China's arable land resources. A great deal of arable land resources survey data having been accumulated by agricultural management institutions and other administrative organizations at all levels plus the statistical data of traditional forms constitute a growing mass of arable land resources data. It is true that how to organize and manage the arable land resources survey data felicitously and effectively and how to store up a mass of information of agricultural resources efficiently; thereby make the integration and application of information more conveniently have become a urgent problem in today's process of agriculture informationization. Based on land resource data of Hubei Province, the solution schemes of spatial database in arable land resources information management have been studied and discussed in this paper. After analyzing traditional data management model of arable land resources and the urgent need for management of substantive arable land resources data by spatial data management technology, in view of characteristics of arable land resources spatial data, using the existing spatial data resources, I have designed the form of organization of spatial data and spatial database structure to realize storage, organization and management of substantive arable land resources spatial data. Depending on this effect, I have further realized the application and share of arable land resources spatial data on internet.The main contents of this article are:(1) I have Analyzed the characteristics of existing arable land resources data, taking this as starting point and made an in-depth study on standardization of arable land resources spatial data.(2) I have given an overall design for the provincial arable land resources database. I also have discussed the main problems and pre-adopted key technology in achieving the goal of design.(3) Under the support of the database system of arable land resources spatial data in Hubei Province, I have developed the management platform of arable land resources spatial information in Hubei Province. I have achieved the function of information management, browsing, query and analysis on arable land resources based on internet.
