This paper aims at prepareing aluminum base Pb-WC-CeO2 composite coating which has good adhesion,good electrical catalytic activity and corrosion resistance properties by using electroplating method.In order to get Pb coatings with good adhesion, a dense oxidation film will be easily formed on the surface of aluminum,an interlayer between Aluminum substrate and Pb coating was obtained from the experiment.Ni coating with bright, smooth and adhesive surface was obtained on the aluminum substrate through the process:Acid picklingā†'Twice Zn platingā†'Ni Electroplating. With orthogonal experiment, the liquid composition of zinc leaching and Nickel plating was optimized. And the rate of deposition can be also determined through the orthogonal experiment. By analyzing the result of bending test, heating shock test, and the cathode polarization curves, the optimization results was gotten:The liquid composition of twice zinc leaching:NaOH 200g/L, ZnO 20g/L, coordinating agent 50g/L,active ion 2g/L,NaNO3 2g/L,t1:1min,t2:40s;The liquid composition of Nickel plating:Na2SO4 40g/L, NaCl 20g/L, three sodium citrate 80g/L, boracic 20g/L, gelatin 0.45g/L,NiSO4 80g/L, current density:1.5A/dm2.Optimum technological conditions of plated lead on aluminum in fluoborate system was studied. Research the properties of solution by polarization curve scanning,study the effect of process conditions by single factor experiment,research the effect of different factors on coating adhesion through the measurement of coating thickness, scratch test, thermal shock test, bending test and corrosion test. Observe coating surface morphology with scanning electron microscopy,Calculate the electrochemical parameter of Al/Pb coating through tafel curve scanning, Results show that:after the strict pretreatment,using the condutions (lead acetate 200-250g/L, fluoroboric acid 160-180g/L boracic 15-20g/L, additives:1-2g/L, current desity:1-3A/dm2, temperature:room-temperature).Even,neat and good adhesion coating of lead was obtained on aluminum.Based on the lead-plated aluminum coating, WC and CeO2 were embedded into the coating.Using single factor, orthogonal experimental method arid the polarization curve method to find the best electrodeposition conditions.And we use SEM inspection to study the surface of the coating,and study the corrosion resistance property of the coating by tafel curves.Using electrochemical methods to investigate the solids concentration and the process parameters on the coating corrosion resistance and oxygen evolution dynamics properties. And corrosion resistance of pure lead coating and composite coating were compared, the results showed that the corrosion resistance of composite coating is far better than pure lead plating; oxygen evolution properties of pure lead coating and composite coating were comprared,the result shows that the composite coating's over potential of oxygen evolution is smaller than pure lead coating's and its exchange current density is bigger than pure lead coating.
