The Research On The Design Of New Chinese-style Sofa

While the call of "localization, geographic, nationalization" is getting bigger and bigger, the design of "new easternism"," modern Chinese-style", "new Chinese-style"has already been taken more attention by architecture, clothing, furniture and so many areas.Saying different things, but achieving the same.Reflect that consumers eager to diversify, personalized products,, eager to find attribution from the historical context;Reflect the enterprises need for national brands and core competitiveness, Reflect the designers'responsibility to the consumer, enterprise and society, is also a kind of original thinking. On the furniture industry, the design of the new Chinese-style furniture is in a continuous exploration and development stage, the new Chinese-style sofa is an important component.This topic takes the new Chinese style's concept as the main entry point, analyzes the new Chinese-style sofa's connotation and the feature:with both the national characteristic and the contemporaneity, the localilzation and the internationalization. On this basis,i propose the viewpoint that the new Chinese-style sofa design embarks by modernism's scientific principle, returns the emotion and context advocated by post-modernism.I advocate that seeking for the design language of the new Chinese-style sofa from Chinese traditional culture, including philosophical, aesthetic concepts and transformation forms; carry on the consideration from the modern life style and the esthetic custom, manifest the contemporaneity of the new Chinese-style sofa design.I thought that the new Chinese-style sofa design needs to insist the route of the conformity development, takes seriously to the expression of design semantic, needs to develop the innovation unceasingly. Through analyzing of a number of outstanding cases, i propose"take shape", "convey spirit ", "extend meaning"as the new Chinese-style sofa design's main points and three design methods. On this basis, i design three works as the attempt and exploration of the new Chinese-style sofa design.
