The amorphous alloy is a kind of new material with short-range ordering while long-range disordering structure.Its unique structural character results in the excellent catalytic properties,such as the high catalytic activity and selectivity,the high resistance to the sulfur poison,and the less environmental pollution occurred during the catalyst preparation.Accord with fundamental two call for improving catalytic efficiency and eliminating environmental pollution by green chemistry.Therefor,amorphous alloys became crucial for scientists to develop novel catalytic materials, have been more concerned gradually.However, amorphous alloys prepared via conventional methods tend to be agglomerated and dispersed in size.Moreover,the low surface area and poor thermal stability of these amorphous alloys greatly limit their industrial application.There are two promising ways to overcome those drawbaeks, one is to deposit the amorphous alloys on a support with high surface area,the other is to add the third or fourth component.In the paper,NiB,CoB,CoNiB amorphous alloy catalyst were prepared by chemical reduction,and surpported Catalyst CoNiB/γ-Al2O3 and CoNiB/SiO2 of amorphous alloy catalyst were also prepared by chemical reduction successfully. They were used for catalyzing liquid phase hydrogenation of furfural (FFR) to furfuryl alcohol (FFA). And reaction pressure,reaction time,reaction temperature on the conversion of furfural and selectivity to furfuryl alcohol were studied in detail.The relationship between the catalyst performance and the structure of catalyst,surface electronic state of the amorphous alloy has been studied based on series of characterization of catalysts (XRD,DSC,BET,TPD,TPR)The results indicated that Ni/Co molar ratio5/5,NaBH4 adding rate2.6ml/min were the optimal preparative condition for CoNiB amorphous alloy.And CoNiB/γ-Al2O3 is better than CoNiB/SiO2 in catalysis activity,30% content and NaBH4 adding rate2.6ml/min were the optimal preparative condition.XRD result proved the obvious amorphous structure. Co add in and loading can improve the thermal stability.BET result proved loading improve the superficial area.TPR and TPD indicate that Co add in and loading produce new active center over the numbers of adsorption center,which result in the active increasing of the catalysts.CoNiB amorphous alloy catalyst and CoNiB/γ-Al2O3 amorphous alloy catalyst were used for catalyzing liquid phase hydrogenation of furfural (FFR) to furfuryl alcohol (FFA). the optimal reaction conditions were reaction pressure 2MPa, reaction time3h, reaction temperature80℃.Under the conditions catalytic activity of CoNiB is 2-3 times of NiB, CoB,but selectivity of furfuryl alcohol changed small. catalytic activity of CoNiB/γ-Al2O3 of amorphous alloy isl.75 times of CoNiB and selectivity of furfuryl alcohol be about 100%.
