Phosphor sludge is a primary by-product in the yellow phosphorus production. It was a kind of colloid coordinated with phosphor, impurity and water. Cause resource wasting and environment pollution.China became the most important producter in the world from ninety years of last centry.With the growth of yellow phosphorus, spawn lots of phosphor sludge. The efficiency disposition about phosphor sludge become a emergency.Ways of disposition abuot phosphor sludge in the world includeing:Evaporating phosphor, medicaments, treatment in the electric field etc. Eatch way has it's virtue and disadvantage. Not currently forming a mature, stable, and efficient methods of phosphor sludge.By the review and analysis on early experiments on the subject found:the research of the process of yellow phosphorus from phosphor sludge under the condition of moderate temperature distillation divice is restricted by the tightness of the divice. The key to make the experiment success is how to choose a divice with good tightness.Rotating-sealing, has been used in machinery, space flights, aviation because the characteristics of keep good tightness on high speed rotary. There was little research about the using of the rotating-sealing on phosphor sludge distilling. By the analysis on volatilization of the phosphor sludge water-phosphor system, the temperature of phosphor sludge distilling, the speed of phosphor sludge distilling, graphite-metal has been choosed as the rotating-sealing material. The tightness test of the experiment is based on the different pressure. To analysis the relationship of between the tightness and the elasicity pressure. Come meet the tightness test criteria results of rotating-sealing for distilling experiment.After a series of experimental reseaches, the conclusions can be drawn as follows: this research solved the dislocation of gearing wheel and made head surface lutation joint stable operated after optimizing the gearing device and joint; when condition were between 280-330℃temperature,30-40-30 mmHg pressure differential and 5 hours heating, the distillation was perfect. Percent recovery of phosphor was 96.74% and up to 99.55% fineness, and the content of arsenic was 74.5ppm; Percent content of phosphor was 9.9% in the phosphor slag.Because of the limit of the experimental conditions, deslagging design, condensator design and heating source also could be improved. As constant improve of the devices, the practicability of the devices to evaporating phosphor under moderate temperature would raised. This method was expected to get widely application by manufacturers in future.
