Treatment and use of phosphorous slurry is a very important, because it can not only influence the collection ratio and produce cost, but also cause environmental pollution, So almost all of phosphor factories are exploring and practicing treatment of the phosphorus slurry.Though researchers in the world have done much laborious exploration to treatment and use of phosphorous slurry, any suit efficient and ripe way hasn't been found. Ways of distilling yellow phosphor from phosphorous slurry in the world now, including: Evaporating phosphor, medicaments, absorption and vacuum filtration treatment, treatment in the electric field, absorption and separation and so on. Because there is some defect and existing problem themselves in these ways of distilling phosphor, they aren't used widely.Presently, the most research on ways of distilling yellow phosphor from phosphorous slurry in domestic is the way of evaporating phosphor, But it exists these disadvantages: the life of the evaporating phosphor boiler is short, the ratio of the phosphor reclamation is low, economic benefit is bad. In order to lower the pollution to environment, raise the ratio of phosphor reclamation, the author designed and improved the equipment of distilling yellow phosphor. On the basis of former experiment, the author of this designed the new equipment for distilling yellow phosphor in phosphorous slurry at mid-temperature, and run and tested the equipment with the material (phosphorous slurry) which is brought from a factory in Malong county in Qujing city to observe and study its character to find and solve the problems in the experiment. The author analyzed how temperature, pressure, operation time influenced the recycle ratio and the contents of Arsenic in yellow phosphorus product.After the phosphorous slurry was treated by the new equipment which was designed in the experiment, these conclusions are gained: 1) The reclamation ratio is 98.6%. 2) The percent of Phosphor and Arsenic in yellow phosphor is respectively 99.96% and 63.7ppm.3) The percent of Phosphor and Arsenic in phosphorous residue is respectively 5.36% and 10.58ppm.The relation of cost to benefit in distilling yellow phosphor from phosphorous slurry at mid-temperature was discussed and elementary conclusion to economic feasibility of was worked out.At the present, The emphasis of researches on distilling yellow phosphor in phosphorous slurry is the design of the equipment but there is a lot of work to do. We believe that the improved and optimized the new equipment in distilling yellow phosphor from phosphorous slurry at mid-temperature will be applied widely.
