Phosphorus slurry comes from production of phosphorus by electric furnace. One of the main byproduct of the main substances is in yellow phosphorus production. Yellow phosphorus、water and solid are the main substances is in the phosphorus slurry. The event of leakage of Phosphorus slurry would impact the surrounding environment and the crowd extremely serious. There is a lot of recyclable yellow phosphorus in the Phosphorus slurry, but a higher treatment costs and recovery more difficult. The governance of phosphorus slurry becomes a problem of yellow phosphorus producers.Phosphorus sludge disposal methods mainly in production practice of yellow phosphorus production enterprises in China are:combustion method, oxidation and steam phosphorus method. The former two methods have obvious shortcomings, Steaming phosphorous method also has obvious shortcomings, but it can save investment, has simple operation, be suitable for continuous production and other advantages, and be widely used in small yellow phosphorus enterprises. The experimental device improved is based on The earlier period device in the steam phosphorus method. We had a large number of experiments. But there are still some problems:the drive gear of experimental pre-device is arranged in the one end of heating distiller, and the length to diameter ratio is too low and the spherical sealing in rotary joint lead the experimental device have centrifugal movement and leakage in operation.To solve above problem, The heating and distilling reactor, rotary sealing joint and auxiliary facilities were redesigned. Focus on the design of sealing of rotary joint and sealing material used at280~330℃. Lay foundation for the industrialization of the technology with changing the heating distillation reactor length to diameter ratio, choosing the driving position.Mechanical rotating seals to ensure the sealing performance in a variety of harsh works, is widely used in mechanical, aerospace and other fields. There isn’t rotating seals in the field of extraction of yellow phosphorus from phosphorus slurry currently. The main method of rotary joint design is mechanical rotating seal, and second is packing seal; mechanical rotating seals ensure radial leak-proof seal and packing seal ensure axial leak-proof seal; both steel Q235and carbon graphite are main materials selected, to ensure the industrial production process and the design of the rotary joint has a relatively low cost. The shell of rotary joint rotate and axis fix during the process of the experimental device running. Installing two high-temperature bearings in the rotary joint ensure the stability of the rotary joint during work.Upon completion of the experimental device designed and manufactured, after the run of the experimental device, the following conclusions be made:redesign part of the experimental device to solve the problem of the traverse of the experimental device during operation; the mechanical rotating seal joints is stable; the sealing performance is good. The distillation effect is relatively good during near300℃and the rotation speed of8rev/min. The experimental heating time is about2h; yellow phosphorus recovery rate of95.74% and purity rate of97.49%.
