In this paper, amino acid schiff base was synthesised by the amino acid and 4-hydroxypyridine. On the basis of this, one new polymer was synthesised by the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction. Then another new polymer was synthesised by-C=C-of imidazole and a new 1,3-dipolar prepared by m-phthalaldehyde. This type of polymer may be applied in chiral catalysts, Chiral LCD, nonlinear optics, biodegradable materials, polymer drugs and other applications in future.The phenolic oxidation coupling polymerization was very typical reaction of the economical atom. PPO was engineering plastics of excellent performance including high mechanical strength,good resistance, electrical insulation and dimension stability. Polymer alloy which was made from PPO had been widely used in many fields.The molecular weight of PPO was effectively improved on the basis of previous work and improving experiment method.Poly(cardanol) was synthesised by cardanol oxidation coupling in order to get the polymer materials from renewable natural substances based on oxidative coupling nature of phenolic.Improving the solubility of poly(aryl ether) was very important significance using functional groups of monomers to get excellent performance of new materials.One new biphenyl poly(aryl ether) was synthesised by 2,2'-dihydroxybiphenyl oxidation coupling polymerization and this method of synthesis was simple that greatly reduced the material cost. The solubility of polymer was effectively improved because of its hydroxyl of phenolic.Then the scope of use of materials widened.
