Synthesis And Study Of New Poly (aryl Ether) Series Of Polymers

Poly (aryl ether)s are well known high performance thermoplastics which generally exhibit high thermal and excellent impact resistance. Many attentions have been paid on new bihalo monomers used in the conventional aromatitic nuclephilic substiitution route.In these paper,we synthesized three bihalo monomers,a series of poly(aryl ether) were prepared from them and their chemical structure and phiscical properties were researched.1. Three novel monomers 3, 4-bis- (4-chlorobenzoyl) toluene[BCBB] 4,5-bis-(4-fluorbenzoyl)methylhexene[l] 3,6-bis(4-flourobenzoyl)pyridazine[2] were readily synthesized from malelic anhydride -. chlorobenzene fluorobenzene.lt shows that these monomers had good reactivity.2. A series of poly [ ether (sulfone)ketone ketone ] containing the phthalazinone moiety polymer were prepared by the nucleophilic substitution of bis-3,4-(4-chlorobenzoyl) toluene. With 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-l(2H)phthalazinone[DHPZ] 4,4'-difiuorophenyl ketone and 4,4-dichlorophenyl sulfone and bisphenol A[BPA] These polymers were studied by FT-IR,'H-NMR, DSC, TGA and X-ray diffraction analysis. The result shows that they exhibited good thermal stability and high glass transition temperature. It is amorphous polymer with good solubility.3. A series of poly (aryl ether )s were synthesized by the nucleophilic substitution polycondensation of [1] [2] with DHPZ and BPA respectively. Their polymers were studied by FT-IR, 'H-NMR, DSC, TGA and X-ray diffraction analysis. The result shows that .Polymers from [1] exhibited high glass transition temperature,they were amorphous polymer with good solubility,their intramolecular ring closure products with hydrazine shared higher thermal stability.Polymers from [2]were amorphous polymers with bad solubility.4. A novel copolymer poly(ether sulfone ketone)containing phthalazinone moieties was applied as enamelled wires varnish with high grade.We have studied the effectof some proceeding conditions such as solvent and additions of two kinds of thermalsetting resins.
