Coal is the main part of energy in our country,and it will take a dominate part of the principal energy.In our country,there are over 95 percents coal mines that underground mining.The gas casualties are very serious,for the storage conditions of coal seam are very bad,such geological conditions,and so on.So the gas casualties all along be the most important threat of safety of coal mines.And the gas is the source of gas casualty.It is very important for decreasing gas casualty and increasing the efficiency of safety to study the law of the gas occurrence by applying gas-geology theroy.For offering the evidence to predicting gas casualty and drainaging gas,it is studied the law of the gas occurrence by applying gas-geology theory and methods,with using the gas data fusion.It is studied on the five aspects with the No.8 mine in Hebi as an example below.Firstly,it divided the No.8 mine in Hebi to three gas-geologic cell based on analyzing the regional and local geological structure and their characteristic.Secondly,it gained many gas contents by collecting and checking the actual measured data in explorating,collecting the actual measured date during digging,calculating gas contents indirectly,and interchanging gas emission to gas contents.Then it analyzing and fusing the polygenetic gas data.Third,it collected and analyed a lot of data of gas emission during digging according to cell.And it exposited the characteristic of gas distribution after analyzing the relation of gas emission and geologic structure,and the distribution of gas contents.Fourth,it studied the influencing factors of gas storaging and distributing,especially for burial depth,geologic structure,the character of adjoining rock,nature of coal,groundwater and so on.And analysed the correlation of all the factor upward and gas contents,then gained related coefficients.Fifth,After contrasting the related coefficients ,it defined that burial depth and thickness of coal seam were the chief influencing factors in a geologic cell.It established three mathematic models reflecting the relation of gas contents and every factor by using DPS software.Then used them to predict gas contents of drills in the three cells.Combining the datas that come from fusing and predicting,it drawed the contour of gas content in No.8.At last,it generalized the law of gas occurrence and its influencing factors in No.8 mine.
