Metal-organic frameworks complex is represented by connecting two or moremetal ion/ion clusters with oxygen, nitrogen and other polydentate organic ligand. Most of such complexes have greater porosity, good chemical stability, high surfacearea, structural diversity and tailoring and other advantages, which has a good prospectin catalysis, gas storage, sensing, bio-imaging and drug delivery, etc. In this paper, theamide, schiff bases modified organic ligands as raw material, the hydrothermalsynthesis was proposed to prepared a series of novel metal-organic frameworkscomplexes.Their structure and properties are characterized by infrared analysis, elemental analysis, thermal analysis and X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. Thecontents are divided into the following three parts:1. Synthesis and characterization of a multi-functional organic ligands. In thischapter,1,3,5-tri[4-benzoic acid]-benzenetriyl-tris(formamide)[H3L] with C3symmetrical in the amide modified multifunctional organic ligands as well as theSchiff base modified organic ligands for bis-[4-benzoic acid]-benzylideneamino[TBSB1] and di-[4-benzoic acid]-o-toluene methyleneamino [TBSB2] weresynthesized. Their structure, thermal stability and fluorescence properties werecharacterized by infrared analysis, X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis, NMR andfluorescence spectrometer. TGA showed that three organic ligand frameworkscollapse temperature are higher, complexes have a certain thermal stability.Fluorescence analysis showed that organic ligand H3L has good fluorescenceproperties and the ligands for TBSB1and TBSB2are green emission, which have aapplication in preparing green polymer material.2. Conducting a research for MOFs containing the amide modified organicligands. Under the solvent hydrothermal synthesis conditions, organic ligand H3L,rare earth chloride and4,4’-bipyridine were prepared rare earth complexes ofSm/Eu/Tb/Dy/Ho/Tm/Lu-L,which Sm-L crystal structure was obtained. Resultanalysis shows that based on1-(2-2)-(1-1)-2-6coordination mode, organicligand H3L and the metal Sm atoms are linked together to construct (8,4) connected to a two-node3D framework structure. Series of rare earth complexes exhibited betterthermal stability, rare earth complexes of Sm/Eu/Tb/Dy-L have excellent fluorescenceproperties, meanwhile, fluorescent properties of rare earth complexes Ho/Tm/Lu-Lare poor, which generates fluorescence intensity quenching effect on organic ligandH3L.3. Conducting a research for MOFs containing the Schiff base modified organicligands. Under the condition of solvent hydrothermal synthesis, TBSB1/2organicligand and metal salts were synthesized13kinds of MOFs. Their structures andproperties were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric andfluorescence spectra. Series of complexes exhibited a certain thermal stability, the badfluorescence properties due to quenching effect.
