After drying, municipal sludge incineration can be divided into separateincineration and mixed incineration (blending incineration). Municipal sludge separateincineration needs new burning system which has complex technology、high cost ofoperation and maintenance. In an addition, using domestic waste incineration powergeneration system to burn semi-dry municipal sludge can get the safe and economicdisposal of municipal sludge. Because it relies on existing domestic waste incinerationpower plant which has complete incineration flue gas treatment system. The ratio ofblending semi-dry municipal sludge is not only direct affecting the semi-dry sludgetreatment capacity, but also affecting the generating capacity of the domestic wasteincineration system、pollutants discharging standard in the process of waste incinerationand the cost of incineration. In this paper, taking the municipal solid waste and semi-dry municipal sludgeco-incineration power generation commissioning system in Jiangyin city as the researchobject, through the comparison analysis and the actual test of the commissioning system,we focus on researching the influence of the different proportion of mixed semi-drymunicipal sludge burned with domestic wastes on the synergy incineration effect, gaspollutants as well as the cost of blending incineration, on the premise of guarantee theoriginal rated evaporation of the burner. After this, we got the following conclusions:(1) Through the "modified+high pressure diaphragm squeeze"technology can be atroom temperature, low energy consumption under the conditions of moisturecontent below50%, low calorific value of1880kJ/kg semi dry sludge, createfavorable conditions for incineration disposal. At the same time, in order to meetthe need of burning sludge garbage doped,Sludge storage and semi dry sludgeconveying system is needed and based on a system of MSW incineration.(2) With5%,10%,15%of blending sludge, power generation per ton are341.9kwh,329.2kwh,285.6kwh separately. Mixed with10%semi-sludge, it can furtherimprove the treating capacity of waste and sludge on the basis of guarantee therated capacity evaporation of the burner. Also, the working condition of incinerator is stability and the environmental protection standards meet therequirements. In jiangyin project, the cost of sludge incineration is RMB37.00perton.(3) Because there is about10%of lime added in the sludge when drying, in the processof co-burning of sludge and waste, neutralization reaction occurs between the limeand the acidic gas in furnace, reducing the concentration of HCl and SO2in fluegas. When burning the mixture with5%of semi-dry sludge, the HCl and SO2concentration are reduced by3.6%and3.6%respectively in entrance of thereaction tower. Furthermore, burning the mixture with10%of semi-dry sludge, the HCl and SO2concentration are reduced by6.9%and5.4%respectively inentrance of the reaction tower. So, it can be seen that burning the wastes withsemi-dry sludge can reduce flue gas treatment costs for a long time.(4) When burning domestic wastes with5%and10%semi-dry sludge, the Loss onignition reduce from3.26%at the condition of only burning domestic wastes to2.27%. This decrease illustrates that domestic waste and semi-dry sludgeco-incineration system is an effective treatment method which has significantenvironmental and social benefits.By "using waste to treat waste", the domesticwaste and semi-dry sludge co-incineration power generation technology realizethe harmless, resource recovery, reduction, stabilization treatment of domesticwaste and sludge together. Its environment and social benefit is far higher than itseconomic benefits.
