As the requirements of oil resources increased in the world, the oil which was polluted in the using process is extremely easy to form Water-in-oil emulsion, and that is called W/O emulsion. The W/O emulsion would reduce the physico-chemical properties making the oil abandoned. When the W/O emulsion was burned or dumped, it will be wasting the resources and polluting the environment seriously. There are many many methods for breaking emulsion including physical and chemical. But these methods have some bottle necks by themselves. So, taking the water hammer harmonic which can used for demulsification as the object of study and analysising the water hammer characteristics of emulsion during the process of demulsification put forward a kind of effective, scientific and reasonable method of demulsification for the preliminary theoretical basis.Firstly, the paper established the ASM model of water-in-oil emulsion in the hydraulic directional valve according to the characteristics of the movementthe of two phases in water hammer harmonic field. Numerical simulation is calculated by using FLUENT software.Water hammer harmonic characteristic was discussed in the process of two phase separation when the valve opening is 1mm and flow rate is 1~9L/min. Studies have shown that, with the increase of oil-water emulsions flow rate, the pressure inside the reversing valve the larger values and showed a cyclical change. The fundamental frequency of water hammer harmonics located in 2~18Hz. The amplitude of fundamental frequency increased from 0.6567 to 1.5210 when the flow rate is 1~9L/min. With the increase of emulsion flow rate.The amplitude of fundamental frequency of water hammer harmonics has a gradually increase trend.Secondly, the paper constructed water hammer harmonic vibration test platform and analyzed water hammer harmonic characteristic during the process of demulsification. Wavelet analysis was used in the further study of water hammer harmonic characteristic when the output frequency of the excitation generator is 100~500Hz, the output voltage is 1~15V, the output current is 1~5A. Studies have shown that, with the increase of output voltage, the amplitude of fundamental frequency in water hammer harmonic generation device has a gradually increase trend, when the output frequency and current of excitation generator is constant. The paper can get the same conclusion when the output voltage and current of excitation generator is constant and the output voltage and frequency of excitation generator is constant.Lastly, the paper deeply analyzed the output frequency, voltage, current of excitation generator and optimization analysis of demulsification of water hammer which affect the demulsification of water hammer by using this experimental platform, obtained the optimal water hammer harmonic of demulsification, the frequency is 6Hz, amplitude of the frequency is 0.0335. Provided some support for controlling parameter of water hammer harmonic, getting the proper harmonic characteristics of water hammer, achieving better water hammer harmonic effect of demulsification.
