The accurate measurement of the multiphase flow is a tough technical problem. It needs the precise theoretical model as well as the suitable measuring method. Several methods which have been widely used in the world are the separation and the isotope source measurement. However both of these two methods have their own defects. The disadvantages of the separation are large volume and high cost, also source method has radiation pollution to the environment. Therefore the artificial X-ray detection method is used to measure the multiphase flow in this paper. This method is base on the material identification capability of X-ray. it can achieve the measurement of multiphase flow by the Two-level X-ray. This X-ray system is designed to measure the multiphase flow on the basis of the feasible method. In addition, the principle of the multiphase flow measured by the Two-level X-ray has been studied in this paper. The molybdenum target and the tungsten(W) target(characteristic spectrum is 17.44 ke V and 58.87 ke V separately) are selected as the radiation source of the multiphase flow measurement system. The hardware circuit of this system includes the controllable power supply circuit module and the FPGA data acquisition circuit module. This system composed of different debugged circuit modules, it achieves the measurement of the oil-water-gas multiphase flow. This new X-ray multiphase flow measurement system has been tested for many times in the lab. Base on the analysis of the test data, the absolute error of this measurement is less than 10%. This result proves the excellent feasibility stability and accuracy of the measurement system.
