With the rapid development of modern society, the role of the separation of science and technology in the industry have become more important. The advantage of adsorption resins is its more species, broad scope, simple separation process, high efficiency, so adsorption resins has become one of the indispensable separation methods in many areas. In recent years, wastewater treatment, adsorption occupy a larger proportion, and methylene blue is one of the representatives of dyes and dyeing industry wastewater, in this paper, the aim is to synthesize a kind of functional adsorbent resin to the treatment of methylene blue.In this dissertation, the method of synthesis is the suspension polymerization, styrene as the skeleton, hydroxyethyl acrylate as polar monomers, divinylbenzene as the crosslinking agent, toluene as a porogen, azobisisobutyronitrile as the polymerization initiator, then poly styrene adsorption function resin was prepared. The structure of the resin was characterized by infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and the resin was characterized by adsorption pore structure, pore size and pore volume of the preparation parameters such as pore structure. The influence of preparation conditions on the adsorption resin pore structure was investigated, such as selection and dosage of dispersant, selection and dosage of polymerization initiator, the ratio of monomers, dose of crosslinker, the heating rate and stirring speed. Adsorption of surface area, pore volume and average pore size with increasing levels of toluene porogen be improved; and its surface area is inversely proportional to the ratio of the amount of the crosslinking agent divinylbenzene. In summary, the amount of cross-linking agent divinyl benzene can be used 1g,2g or 3g; The amount of initiator azobisisobutyronitrile was 1% of the total mass of the monomers, the amount of porogen to the total mass of the monomer in toluene about 250%; heating rate selection 5℃/h; the agitator speed selection 800rpm, the synthetic adsorption resin particles uniform, moderate size.Further discussion of the adsorption properties of polystyrene resin function in methylene blue solution, the adsorption time, initial concentration, temperature and pH affect the adsorption properties of polystyrene resin adsorption function research.
