Temper is an important process in ensuring the finished quality of cold rolling strip. As an important examination index of single skin pass mill, elongation plays an important role to ensure the interior structure property of strip to meet the customer requirement. Based on the field production and continuous improvement of last several decades, both the control process and product quality have achieved a higher level for the1450m temper mill single stand in AnSteel. While, when producing thin gauge strip, there exits obvious defects in the constant elongation control, which restrict the normal running and the development of all indicator. In this paper, the main contents are the computer system and mathematical model of1450mm skin pass mill in AnSteel. The main work is as following:(1) Relying on the scientific project of " Study and Simulation of mathematic system for1450mm skin pass in Anang Steel", combined the practical problem exiting in plant, the mathematical models of skin pass mill were studied in this paper;(2) On the basis of overview of development history of skin pass mill, the process flow and equipment function were introduced, the importance and existing problem of elongation control in skin pass rolling was discussed Meanwhile, the effect of mathematical parameters on the elongation fluctuate was analyzed;(3) From the different requirements of basic automation and process automation, the computer control system was analyzed deeply. Through analyzing the mathematical models in process control system, the setup parameters such as rolling force, friction coefficient were discussed deeply. In order to improve the calculation accuracy of rolling force, a method through modifying the formula structure of rolling force was put forward;(4) With Microsoft Visual Studio VB.net for Windows, the simulation program to calculate model parameters was developed. According to the actual production data, it’s proved that the off-line program can calculate all the rolling parameters accurately, which shows the simulation program can provide operators technical support for improving product quality.The job of this text has been applied to the1450mm skin pass mil in ansteel and gets good results. Analysis and revising of parameters provide a solid foundation for perfecting rolling schedule.
