Currently, in the era of extremely scarce energy, energy conservation is particularly important. In building materials, wall insulation materials played a very good energy saving effect. On the market, There are mainly two kinds for popular insulation material. One kind is organic insulation material, accounting for more than 90% of the market, the main products are polystyrene foam plastic and polyurethane foam plastic, the advantage is light weight, good processability, good insulation properties, But the most fatal weakness is flammable for this type of insulation and it will release toxic gases when burned, a huge risk for fire safety. The other kind is inorganic insulation materials, the main products are foam cement insulation materials. Such insulation materials in performance overcome the weak points of flammable and toxic for organic insulation materials, but dry density of this kind of insulation materials is ten times or even more over dry density of organic insulation materials and the yield, quality and engineering requirements can’t meet the needs of the majority of domestic construction market, because of potential security risks.In regard to the current market problems for Insulation materials, this paper studied respectively the preparation of inorganic fiber and lightweight ceramic reinforced foam cement, and the main factors of affecting performance of foam cement were optimized, the best content ratio for better performance foam cement is determined. Its main work of this article as follows:First, we prepared white mud fiber reinforced foam cement samples by incorporating an appropriate amount of inorganic fiber in cement paste. Effect of preparation process, water, dispersant concentration, white mud fiber content, white mud content on properties of white mud fiber reinforced foam cement samples were studied. The results showed that there are better performance, better product phase for preparing foamed cement by the way of white mud fiber directly into dispersant solution; and that an increase of white mud fiber content needs more water; and that when the dosage of dispersant was 1.1kg/m3, the foam cement achieved the best mechanical properties, namely compressive and flexural strength: 0.73 MPa, 0.50MPa; and that white mud fiber and white mud could improve the mechanical properties of foamed cement, meanwhile, white mud is enable to improve bubbles structure of the sample into very uniform and smaller pore size.Secondly, we prepared ceramic reinforced foamed cement sample by incorporating an appropriate amount of ceramic in cement paste. This part focuss on ceramic content, super-plasticizer dosage and perlite content on the performance impact of ceramic reinforced foamed cement. The results showed that ceramic content has significantly influence on the mechanical properties of the foamed cement; and that when the water reducer content is 0.5kg/m3 compressive strength and flexural strength of foamed cement products have achieved the maximum values, respectively: 3.79 MPa, 3.18 MPa and water absorbent rate reached minimum value, namely: 0.34, meanwhile compared to the samples without water reducer, aperture of its section is smaller and uniform distribution. and hydration products are mainly C-S-H gel; for perlite dosage of 8kg/m3, the compressive and flexural strength of the samples relatively reached the maximum values, respectively: 3.89 MPa, 3.30 MPa.The comprehensive performance of white mud fiber/ceramic reinforced foamed cement we prepared has been improved by optimizing the ratio of admixture, especially for dry density and strength.
