As one of the most highly used and decorative fashion items in clothing accessories, scarf has been loved by consumers for a long time, especially preferred by female consumers. In particular, since China joined the WTO, a large number of international brands have flowed into domestic market, and scarves of famous brand, such as Hermes, Ferragamo, Burberry, are popular, which promote a number of domestic scarf producers to improve their independent design and research capacity. For the domestic market, producers have been focusing on the high-end consumer group, basing on the brand strategy, making every effort to design the scarf products with highly national, personalized, stylish and artistic. Apparently, scarf pattern design is the core of all the work in scarf design and development. In this paper, the scarf patterns design method which is based on the generalized Newton iteration graphics is primarily discussed, the purpose is to pay attention to the new art resource of non-linear graphics, through the application the generalized Newton iteration graphics, a kind of the typical and important graphics, in the scarf patterns design, try to use non-linear pattern as the scarf pattern design material while groping for the approach to the personalized scarf pattern design.This paper begins with a brief discussion of the generation principles and methods of the generalized Newton iterative graphics, and focuses on the basic approach of disturbing and influencing the Newton’s mathematical model by mathematics method, like using function transformation, to create the generalized Newton iterative graphics; secondly, the basic principles and requirements of the scarf design are summarized and explained, which mainly discuss the basic principles and requirements of the coordination of the patterns color, composition, structure,pattern design and the processing technology, of the renovation design, and of the detail processing; then, combining practice of scarf pattern design, it focuses on the methods and procedures of the application of the generalized Newton’s in scarf patterns design, from the inspiration to the design concept, to the selection of Newton graphics, interpretation,and the composition design method and procedure, specifically discusses two methods: directly using generalized Newton graphics to design scarf patterns, deconstructing and reorganizing the generalized Newton graphics to design patterns. In the patterns design with deconstructing and reorganizing the generalized Newton graphics, it mainly discusses the concrete design methods and procedures, as deconstructing and reorganizing design of a single graphic, deconstructing and reorganizing design of multiple Newton iterative graphics, deconstructing and reorganizing design of Newton iterative graphic and geometric figure,deconstructing and reorganizing design of Newton iterative graphic and realistic graphics.Finally, the research and practice has proved that, the scarf pattern design based on the research of the generalized Newton iteration graphics as described in the paper is feasible, which provide a reference for highly personalized scarf patterns design by using the generalized Newton iteration graphics.
